Last week, our design and strategy teams at Innovative Marketing Solutions hit the ground running at Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas, eager to explore the latest trends shaping the industry. From dynamic brand collaborations to immersive storytelling and bold aesthetic movements, this year’s show delivered fresh inspiration that will undoubtedly influence retail and environmental design in the coming year.
Partnerships & Collaborations Abound
One of the biggest takeaways from the show was the increasing emphasis on partnerships and cross-brand collaboration. Companies are strategically aligning to create richer, more immersive experiences for consumers. A few standout collaborations included:
GE Café x House of Colour: House of Colour, a Louisville-based company, provided live color analysis at the GE Café booth, aligning with four kitchens designed to represent each season and the theme "This Kitchen Looks Great on You".
Monogram x Grothouse: Luxury wood surfaces were seamlessly incorporated into Monogram’s kitchen and appliance designs, adding warmth and sophistication.
Sherwin-Williams x GE Café: Featured paint matches that perfectly complemented GE Café’s signature finishes, reinforcing brand synergy.
Wilsonart x Kohler: Wilsonart’s Wet Wall booth prominently showcased Kohler fixtures, demonstrating seamless material and fixture integration.
Brizo x Frank Lloyd Wright: Brizo presented stunning Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired designs, blending timeless architectural principles with modern innovation.
Smeg x Dolce & Gabbana: Smeg dazzled with its vibrant Dolce & Gabbana collection, featuring striking blue and white décor.
Kohler x Studio McGee: Kohler highlighted its expanded collaboration with Studio McGee, showcasing stylish and accessible designs for modern homes.
Experiential & Storytelling Booths
Brands stepped up their game with immersive, narrative-driven booths that went beyond static displays to create memorable visitor experiences:
House of Rohl: Crafted a compelling story around their three core pillars: Passion, Artistry, and Provenance, drawing attendees into the brand’s heritage.
LG: Integrated Artificial Intelligence and featured interactive kitchen tutorials, influencer engagements, and celebrity appearances.
Whirlpool: Delivered a playful, engaging booth experience that delighted attendees:
A floor-to-ceiling faux fur room encouraged guests to conquer pet hair.
The Hall of Family Mishaps humorously highlighted everyday household challenges.
A giant fridge and ice box room provided an imaginative, larger-than-life perspective on appliance performance.
GE Profile: Allowed visitors to sketch their dream laundry room and see it brought to life through AI-generated images featuring Profile products.
Aesthetic Trends
From bold maximalism to nature-inspired elements, this year’s design trends were impossible to miss:
Maximalism Takes Center Stage:
Brizo’s gallery wall creatively layered props and products to create an aspirational lifestyle display.
GE Café and Monogram impressed with dreamy, over-the-top kitchen designs that sparked endless creativity.
Layered patterns and textures were everywhere, especially in booths by GE, Moen, Kohler, and Therma-Tru.
Organic Shapes & Natural Materials:
Moen’s booth featured a breathtaking display of natural wood, rocks, and a trickling waterfall.
Therma-Tru created an inviting greenhouse filled with live plants, inspiring attendees to embrace their inner green-thumb. Their booth also featured a beautiful array of foliage and live plants celebrating their sustainability efforts as an official partner of Yellowstone Forever.
The Kohler x Arsham: Landshapes Collection showcased lighting, mirrors, a freestanding bath, vanities and more, all characterized by an irregular, organic design language. Artist and designer Daniel Arsham embraced natural elements such as waves, erosion, pebbles and water droplets to create this beautiful collection.
Arches Are Here to Stay:
KBIS 2025 confirmed that arches are more than a passing trend—they’re a design staple.
Nearly every booth incorporated arches, whether in kitchen and bathroom designs, booth architecture, or product vignettes.
